The Ruya Difference
Why does a triple-layer orthopedic mattress matter?
Triple-layer foam
- Full internal support for even the heaviest of dogs
- No ‘flattening’ of the foam over time
- Pressure sores heal as all joints receive adequate support
- Consistent relief could lead to an improvement in mobility over time
Single-layer foam
- Not enough support for heavier dogs
- Foam has tendency to ‘flatten’ over time if the dog is too heavy
- Can lead to increased pressure on stiff joints
- Could create new aches and pains due to uneven sleeping surface
For larger, heavier dogs we always recommend the use of a triple-layer orthopedic foam mattress
Why pet parents love it?
Perfect size
“I was worried about the size but it fits perfect. My dog is a Pittie mix, 521bs, and the large fit great! She has extra room to spraw out. The fabric is nice and super soft. I just wish it was a bit thicker on the inside but it will do for a while :)”

Awesome bed
“Awesome bed, so happy I can wash the cover in the comfort of my own home! My dog obviously loves it!!! It's a little big, I went with the XL because the Large stated it would fit dogs up to 60 lbs, my dog weighs 70Ibs, but clearly the Large would have been just fine.”

Big Dogs Over 50 lbs Face
A Unique and Dangerous Risk
Sadly, vets describe how the bodies of big dogs contain a fatal flaw - their joints slowly deteriorate under their own weight and an ordinary, active lifestyle becomes impossible.
